We\u2019ve no doubt that the popularity of social media that we saw in 2011 will continue to increase, as will the need for search-engine savvy copy. We can also see that with increasing communications outlets, comms and content strategies will become more complex and require greater thinking time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000; line-height: 20px; font-family: Georgia,;\">But without a doubt one of the most major developments that\u2019s set to come to fruition in 2012 is Integrated Reporting.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\" bgcolor=\"#ffffff\">\n<table id=\"tbl500c\" border=\"0\" width=\"500\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"15\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\" width=\"292\">\n<p style=\"color: #000000; line-height: 21px; font-family: Georgia,;\">Integrated Reporting, known as IR, places the strategy, governance and financial performance focus of a traditional annual report within the social, environmental and economic context in which the organisation operates. The idea is to place sustainability at the heart of company strategies, rather than as a separate issue or after-thought.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000; line-height: 21px; font-family: Georgia,;\">A widely-used example of Integrated Reporting excellence can be seen in the <a style=\"color: #b91d2c; text-decoration: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/about.puma.com\/-\/media\/files\/pdf\/reportings\/pumanachhaltigkeitsbericht2010_en.ashx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Puma annual report 2010<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000; line-height: 21px; font-family: Georgia,;\">This is a new and exciting area. The International Integrated Reporting Committee (IIRC) is currently pushing for a global framework on combined financial and non-financial reporting with a view to helping companies produce more joined-up and cohesive annual reports. The proposal also went before the G20 in October.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000; line-height: 21px; font-family: Georgia,;\">Stratton Craig\u2019s <a style=\"color: #b91d2c; text-decoration: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.strattoncraig.com\/services\/corporate-reports\/corporate-reporting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>experience of annual reporting<\/em><\/a> and knowledge and expertise in sustainability\/CR have left us well placed to undertake projects in this area.
