We’re currently in the process of refreshing our website. We’ll be adding more about our portfolio, much more about our team and plenty of food for thought too. For anyone else about to undertake a similar project here are just a few tips and ideas:

  • Start from the very beginning…

It’s a very good place to start! And by that we mean the first question you need to answer is what is your current website being used for? We’d seriously suggest looking into your website analytics. What pages are people viewing and enjoying? The popular pages are obviously a great indication of what your website is currently being used for.

  • The home straight

More often than not, the homepage will be your audience’s first impression of your company. It’ll determine whether or not they click around. So keep it simple. State clearly and concisely who you are and what you do, and show them exactly where they should be going to find out more.

  • Get an external perspective

Whether it’s a trusted client, business partner or just a friendly industry contact, their opinion matters. After all, they are the ones who will be using your website – does it stand up to their test?
